What is the disciplinary process?
The disciplinary process (or disciplinary action) is a formal procedure aimed at addressing unacceptable employee conduct or performance.
It is a consultation process, focused around documenting the issue and presenting these concerns to the employee. The employee must be given an opportunity to respond and the employer must consider their feedback when making a decision (e.g. issuing a formal warning).
